MARC SANTA MARIA - ACTOR BIO

When I was 10, I played the Egyptian God Osiris in our annual school production.  I was dramatically "killed" and stuffed in a cardboard box (my sarcophagus).  I’ve been hooked on acting ever since.  

I've studied with some life changing teachers - Patsy Rodenburg, Roz Coleman Williams and Grace Zandarski to name a few. Worked with some awesome New York theatre companies like Partial Comfort Productions, Labrynth Theatre Company, and Leviathan Lab. And I've shot some fun movies like Marci X (with Lisa Kudrow) and Zoolander (with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson).

How to cast me? Powerful but flawed characters are my forte. Think over-the-top attorney that changes your life while still figuring out his own, sinister white collar criminal with hidden vulnerabilities or goofball single father of five looking for love.

Stories about human connection that are accessible and push for truthful intimacy are where my passion lies. I hope to collaborate with you soon.

DETECTIVE / LAWYER 

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN EXAMPLE: 

[ANDY MAGNO] 39, Chiseled in every-way Asian- American attorney. A killer with words in the courtroom, he wins every case he litigates.  But when his father unexpectedly dies and his mother sues him for negligence, Andy faces his first case that just may unravel him.

The Hopeless Romantic.

[JASON] Single Dad with three kids and a freezer full of meat.  Jason is a the local butcher with words of wisdom for his regular customers but he can't seem to get a date. Maybe it's the fact that he uses specials on short ribs to flirt.

[LARRY] awkward but egotistical writer.  Madly in love with fiancee, his parents consider him "pussy-whipped". He calls it supportive, romantic and nurturing. See video clip.
