12 to 12!!! This song y’all! When I first heard it insta-made me move and groove in a wildin’ out way. And the LYRICS! They of course (in a great way) made me think of my hubby…. “In a room full of people, I look for you” BUT today! It’s my godmother - Lucille Obsequio’s birthday. My Ninang Baby passed in 2016. She taught me to play Scrabble, was my ride buddy at Disneyworld, she baby sat me AND my twins. When I was overwhelmed with Hope and Makena’s birth - she calmed me down and flew to meet me and Jess at every work trip we had (those fitness conventions yo!) - and she would take over night feedings to let us sleep. I miss her so much…. . And these past months - I’ve been missing my Mom and Dad…. Like daily. Since they’ve both passed, I’ve been taking time to connect with the spirit of them. And in some crazy ways, I feel closer to them than ever before. . AND this song!!!!! Thank you @sombr for it. So many lyrics (not the meeting in Paris one) translate to me - in missing them: these three souls who shaped me in ways I’m forever grateful. I’m dealing with the cards I’ve dealt While you’re dancing with somebody else Was it always in your plan to leave eventually? Because to me, there’s no one else that could make sense to me In a room full of people, I look for you. . . . September 2025 allowed me the gift of practicing appreciating the PEOPLE I GET TO be in contact with - including my own kids! Sometimes I get caught up in the “to do’s” - I’m so into checking them, crossing them off that I can miss the point of it all - my PEEPS! Once I started appreciating the folks in my life more, well…. more gorgeous souls popped up and added more joy into my life. . Here’s to all of us appreciating what we truly appreciate. . PS. #livelovelarge is my personal purpose to inspire us to live every moment with truth, love & connection. 

Here's what I know: life is pretty simple. Yet, as ever-evolving humans, we can totally overthink things. For decades, I lived way inside my head versus from my heart. What other people thought shaped my actions instead of living for my own true intentions and purpose.

We all have experiences that inform us and if we accept them, they can shape us in great ways. I've lived off of cans of tuna and honey mustard while navigating career changes from being a lawyer to a non-profit director to a performer hustling for auditions and gigs.  I lost both my parents: Dad in coma for 6 months before passing and Mom during COVID. I had testicular cancer (still cancer-free! Yes!), made lots of less than smart choices in a multitude of relationships, hurt people’s feelings and got hurt. I also fell in love, got married (amen for that right) and struggled for years to have kids (with two guys there were some obvious challenges). Through all this, I kept asking, "is this what I'm supposed to be doing?" It finally hit me: if we just take each moment as a powerful, creative gift, we can only thrive. It's one choice: to live love large.
